Far Out
Looking up into space fills me with such Awe. Space is still very much a mystery with new discoveries every day. Knowing I am part of this magnificent universe, humbles and magnifies my feeling of responsibility for preserving all that connects us.

Underwater Brilliance
This painting was inspired by my visit to the beautiful Great Barrier Reef in Australia years ago. I was struck by the many colors and abundance of life. This work is part of an underwater series I produced. One of my deep concerns is the destruction we are causing to our earth and waterways. This destruction is easily seen in the death of our coral reefs.

Just Peeking
This little painting inspired my Oak Tree series. My little Oak forest is home to many birds. This was a Red Bellied Woodpecker baby peeking out of a hole in the tree. Parents were close by for feeding time. Observing nature is one of my greatest joys.

Oak Leaf Breezes
This is a painting in my "For the Love of Oaks" series. When sitting in the woods, I love how the light bounces off the leaves and moves with the breeze. The gems mimic the leaves, light, and bark.

Blue Jay Hideaway

Whale Watching

Fog on the Blue Ridge
I am blessed to live in the New River Valley of Virginia and be surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The sight is everchanging with the time of day and the time of year. Always, the scene is majestic. In this painting, I am looking out onto the mountains that are blanketed in fog. The morning is eerily quiet with a special stillness. The gems reflect the sparkling fog and glints of light emerging as the sun tries to break through.

Ageless Story
This work is one of my salvage wood pieces. I love to find new uses for discarded items and these old planks make an interesting palette for my rocks. This work includes fossils and many rough and textured rocks. Rocks are so fascinating because each one was formed over many years with lots of stories hiding in those ridges and colors.
